Course Objective The Solid Edge Sheet Metal Design class will focus on production level sheet metal design.
At the end of this class students will have learned how to utilize Solid Edge sheet metal tools to design production level, parametric sheet metal parts. They will also be familiar with the Solid Edge user interface, reference planes, profile/sketching tools and flat pattern drawing creation.
Who Should Attend Anyone working in the sheet metal industry using Solid Edge for design, drawing modification, or design improvement.
Prerequisites Students should be experienced with Microsoft Windows, have sheet metal experience, and have completed the tutorials delivered with the Solid Edge product.
Lack of sheet metal experience or mechanical design and Windows experience is very difficult to overcome in this training session. Students who lack these prerequisites should realize the impact it will have on their learning experience. Exposure to Solid Edge prior to the class can make all the difference.
